Covid-19 Spring Booster

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, getting vaccinated is crucial. If you have already received your Covid-19 vaccine, you may be wondering if you are eligible for a booster dose. The NHS has released the latest information on booster doses, including who is eligible, as follows:

  • Are aged 75 or over (you need to have turned 75 on or before 30th June 2023)
  • Live in a care home for older adults.
  • Are aged 5 or over and have a weakened immune system.

Receiving a booster vaccine can help strengthen your immunity against the virus and provide added protection against new variants. It is important to book your appointment as soon as possible if you’re eligible.

How to get a booster dose

If you are eligible, you can get a seasonal booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine by:

  • Booking online
  • Call 119
  • Going to a walk-in Covid-19 vaccination site

You may also be contacted by a local NHS service. This is usually done by text or a phone call, but you may sometimes get a letter or notification in the NHS App.
