Swine Flu Vaccination Update
We have now written to all elegible patients to have their vaccine. If you have recevied a letter please contact the practice to make an appointemnt.

Registrars
Dr Lyianage has now conmpleted her first 6 months of training at teh practice and will now spend 6 months in a hospital post before returning to the practice in August 2010 to complete her training.
Dr Hosur joined the practice on 4th Febraury to undertake her training in general practice. She will be with us until July 2011.

HPV
The practice will be vaccinating girls who were born between 1.9.1990 and 31.8.1993. Letters will be sent out to those female patients inviting them in for the vaccination. The vaccination is a course of three injections given over a 6 month period. Girls born after 1.1.1993 will be vaccinated through school. If you have not aleady booked an appointment we would urge that you do so.

On-line Services
You can now order your repeat medications on-line and make an afetnoon or evening appointment with your usual GP or one of the regitrars through this web site. The appointements arefor routine appointments only, that can be booked at least 10 days in advance NOT for appointments within 10 days. Please note these appointments cannot be used for medicals, any type of proecedure, such as coil fits, injections etc. Please contact the practice if it not a routine appointment.
To use the on-line facility you must register this can be done by speaking to a receptionist in person who will provide you with the information required to register

Telephone System - We now have a second telephone line between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00pm. to improve telephone access to the practice. Please listen to the message carefully to ensure that you select the correct option and that your call gets through to the correct section. Please note that peaks times are between 8:00am amd 10:00am. If you do not need to been seen on the day we would advise that you contact the practice in the afternoon

Please note - you will be charged 5p a minute from a BT landline and possibly more depending on your supplier. Calls from a mobile will be significantly higher depending on your provider and tarriff

Open Surgery - You can phone the surgery on the day Monday-Friday between 8:30am - 9:30am to be given an approximate time for a slot in the open surgery. Please note this can only be done on the day and when you ring the surgery on 0844 815 1924 please select option 3 to book a slot in todays open surgery.
Although we try our best to estimate what time roughly you will be seen. We cannot gaurantee a time as it depends on how long partients take with the GP who are booked in before you.

Travel Vaccinations - We have made some further changes and introduced a dedicated Travel Clinic which will run every Wednesday between 3:30pm and 6:30pm If you are going on holidays and require travel vaccinations you MUST book a 20 minute appointment in this clinic at
LEAST 6 - 8 WEEKS PRIOR TO TRAVEL: PLEASE NOTE
These appointments are allocated on first come first served basis and once the clinic is full no further appointments will be available that week for travel vaccinations. If we are unable to see you in the travel clinic you will be referred onto a private clinic. It is recommended that you make an appointment as early as possible as the clinics get booked up well in advance.

Extended Hours
We now offer a number of appointments between the hours of 7:00am -7:50am for patients that are not able to attend the practice during work hours. These can be booked one week in advance. We also offer appointments to 7:30pm one night per week which again can be booked one week in advance.
If you have booked one of these appointments and the main door is locked please press the buzzer next to the main door to gain entrance.
