How Do I...
Make An Appointment?

Ring 0844 815 1924 or click icon below

Access to a GP, registrar or nurse at the practice is seen as a priority for patients and we have a number of different systems in place to ensure that patients can be seen when they need to, whether it is an emergency or whether it be for a routine matter. We also have systems in place to provide advice over the telephone if that is all that is required.

Booked Appointments

Booked Appointments 7:00am – 7:50am
These appointments are provided by the partners for patients that need an early morning appointment before work and can be booked up to a week in advance.

Booked Appointments 8.00 - 11.00am
We offer a limited number of booked appointments each morning between 8.00 - 11.00am. These appointments can be booked in advance.
The availability of these appointments is dependent on the number of GPs on duty.

Other Booked Appointments

All other appointments can be booked up to 10 weeks in advance by either ringing the practice, attending in person or a limited number can be booked online through emis.
To use the online facility you must be registered to use the service.
Please enquire at reception on how to do this.

Text Messaging

If you have a booked appointment and we have a mobile telephone number for you, we will send you a text reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment. Please ensure we have your mobile number and let us know if your number changes.

Minor Illness Clinic (Monday-Thursday)

This is a nurse-led clinic supported by GPs which runs Monday to Thursday from 8.00am – 11:30am. No appointment is necessary but you must book in at the practice in person, between 8.00 - 10.00am or by telephone, between 8.30 - 9.30am on the day you want to be seen.

Open Surgery (Monday - Friday)

This clinic runs every morning for those patients who need to be seen by a GP on the day and should only be used for urgent matters. Please book an appointment if you need to see a GP for a routine matter. There are a number of options to access the clinic:

In Person
Book-in in person at the reception desk between 8.00-10.00am. The doors open at 7.30am but reception does not open until 8.00am. If you arrive prior to 8.00am please take a number and wait until your number is called. When you are booked in, the receptionist will give you an estimated time when you will be seen.

Via Telephone

Phone the surgery on 0844 815 1924 between 8.30 and 9.30am and select option 3.
You will be given a slot in the open surgery and be given an estimated time to attend the practice. When you arrive, please use the self check-in screen.

Extended Hours

The practice is now providing additional appointments that can be booked one week in advance.
These appointments are:

MORNING 7.00am - 7.50am MONDAY - FRIDAY
EVENING until 7.30pm THURSDAY

All other clinics at the practice, whether it be with the GP, nurse or healthcare assistant are by appointment only and can be booked up to 10 weeks in advance by calling 0844 815 1924.
The doctors at the surgery have a policy of only seeing their own patients unless in an emergency or if their doctor is absent.

How To See The Nurses Or Healthcare Assistants

All nurse and healthcare assistant clinics are by appointment and can be arranged up to 10 weeks in advance by ringing 0844 815 1924. Please phone the practice between 10.00am and 6.30pm to arrange your appointment. When you phone you will be asked why you want to see the nurse or healthcare assistant. This is to assist us in preparing for the clinic and to make sure we have sufficient stock or to prepare any equipment that may be required during your consultation.

Self Check-In Screen

On arrival at the surgery if you already have a booked appointment you can use the self check-in screen to confirm your arrival. If you have rung in for the open surgery and have been allocated a slot you may also use this screen on arrival. Once you have checked in please take a seat in the waiting room and wait until you are called or follow the instructions given on the screen.

How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?

If you are elderly/housebound or terminally ill or otherwise too ill to attend the practice, please telephone the surgery for a home visit before 10.30am on the day the visit is required. Please give the receptionist details of the symptoms, your full name, address and a contact telephone number. The GP will visit the housebound or terminally ill and in most other cases will contact the patient by phone to discuss their condition and decide where the consultation will take place. If your own doctor is not available, you may be visited by one of the other doctors. The doctors undertake visits between 11.30am - 2.00pm.

How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?

If you have been requested by the doctor to ring the surgery to get your test results, please telephone 0844 815 1924 after 10.00am, Monday to Friday. Please remember that under no circumstances will you be given the result of another patient, only your own and you will be asked to confirm your name, your date of birth and your address.
